Parks Master Plan

The primary purpose of the Parks Master Plan is to assess the current state of La Marque’s essential parks and open space system, address citizen needs and wishes for improvements to these parks, and establish facility/equipment design and maintenance criteria for current and future parks and outdoor recreation areas.

The City of La Marque Parks Board and city staff provided an inventory of nine park facilities. These Park facilities were reviewed during site visits and meeting with residents and city representatives. In addition to onsite meetings, the Parks Board conducted an online survey to acquire opinions of residents' likes, dislikes, and preferences for each existing park.

The goals identified through these interactions were:
1. Create a positive, uplifting park experience for all residents.
2. Increase recreational activities.
3. Provide excellent efficiency/value in future park development and maintenance.
